Georgia born and raised, Jim Jones began the craft of woodworking as a young boy. A family owned, builder supply company facilitated his woodworking hobby. As a young man Jones moved to the North West, continued his woodworking and discovered an interest in pottery. Pottery soon took over as his main creative pursuit. Jones, now a Mt. Pleasant resident, has honed his skills and his work has become highly sought after. Jones continues to create whimsical designs as well as original classic designs. All of his pottery is made in Mt. Pleasant, SC. "I hope you enjoy your pottery. Each piece is unique in that there are no two pieces alike. Each piece comes about in a process. I sit down at the wheel and throw a piece, with an idea. Then another. Before I know it, I am throwing a completely different piece. They just evolve." All of Jones' pottery is fired to stoneware. This means the piece will hold water, the glazes are food safe, as well as oven and dishwasher safe.
